The entire Naalya Secondary School community is thrilled to announce our official participation in this year’s Kabaka’s Birthday Run, an annual event that unites thousands of Ugandans in celebration of His Majesty Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II’s birthday. More than just a sporting event, the Kabaka’s Birthday Run has grown into a powerful movement promoting physical fitness, community solidarity, and charitable giving across Buganda and beyond in the interest of fighting HIV by 2030.
At Naalya Secondary School, we believe in nurturing well-rounded students who excel not only academically but also in character, health, and cultural appreciation. This run offers a perfect opportunity for our learners, staff, parents, and alumni to come together as one family, flying the black and yellow colors of Naalya with pride while honoring our cherished traditions.
This year’s run, scheduled to take place on 12th April, 2026 starting from Mengo Palace, will see participants cover a designated distance usually 5km or 10km in a festive atmosphere filled with music, energy, and a shared sense of purpose. Proceeds from the run will go towards supporting health initiatives, with past editions focusing on fighting HIV/AIDS, malaria, and improving maternal health. By taking part, every member of the Naalya Sec Schools community contributes to saving lives and uplifting our society, while also enjoying the physical and mental benefits of regular exercise.
