A Day of Democracy: Students Lobby for Votes During Open Air Campaigns
The atmosphere at Naalya Secondary School, Namugongo Campus, was electric as we held our much-anticipated General Open Air Campaigns. The air was filled with the sound of cheers, chants, and persuasive arguments as the student body gathered to witness the next generation of school leaders step into the spotlight.

Following a rigorous and highly competitive Vetting stage, the candidates who successfully qualified were finally given the floor to lobby directly for the votes of their fellow students. It was a true display of democracy in action, marking a significant milestone in our school’s leadership journey.

The open-air session provided a platform for these aspiring leaders to showcase their manifestos and visions for the future of our campus. From the aspiring Head Prefects to the hopefuls for the various portfolios, each candidate stood before the assembly and delivered speeches aimed at convincing their peers that they are the right choice for the job.

Beyond just speeches, the event was characterized by vibrant interactions. Students actively engaged with the candidates, asking tough questions and demanding clarity on key issues affecting our school community, from academics and discipline to co-curricular activities and welfare.

We extend our congratulations to all the students who qualified from the vetting stage and commend their bravery for standing before the student body. We also wish to thank the general student populace for their active participation and orderly conduct during the session.

The next step: The official voting day is now upon us. We encourage every student to exercise their democratic right and cast their vote for the leaders they believe will best represent their interests and elevate the name of Naalya Secondary School, Namugongo Campus.
Vote wisely. Vote Naalya. Your Vote Counts
