Students Showcase DIT Innovation in Grand Exhibition
Naalya Secondary School Bweyogerere Campus has once again demonstrated its commitment to practical, skills-based education with a vibrant exhibition of handcrafted items produced by our talented learners under the Department of Industrial Training (DIT) programme.
The event, held before the esteemed Board of Governors, was a proud moment for our school community. It showcased the creativity, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit of our students, who are being trained in a wide range of valuable DIT skills including Bakery, Tailoring, Soap Making, Phone Repair and Maintenance, and Professional Cooking.
Visitors to the exhibition were treated to an impressive array of high-quality, handmade products. Our students presented a diverse collection of items including washing soap, bathing soap, liquid soap, bar soap, body lotion, mosquito repellents, hand wash, and the popular "Jerry" fruit juice. The tailoring students did not disappoint either, displaying beautifully crafted cushions, duvets, and other home textiles that rivalled commercial standards.
The Board of Governors commended the learners for their ingenuity and the staff for their dedication to nurturing practical skills. The exhibition was not merely a display of products but a clear statement that Naalya SS Bweyogerere Campus is moulding job creators, not just job seekers.
As Management We are immensely proud of what our students have achieved. These DIT skills are a cornerstone of our holistic education model, ensuring that our learners leave school equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with hands-on abilities that can generate income and foster self-reliance.
