Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders: Vetting Underway for Student Council Positions
At Naalya Secondary School, Bweyogerere Campus, we believe that leadership is not just a title but a call to service. In line with this vision, an intensive vetting process is currently underway to identify the most capable and responsible students to fill the various leadership positions for the upcoming academic term.

Following the recent call for interest, a large number of enthusiastic students submitted their applications. The vetting panel, comprising senior teaching staff, the Dean of Students, and the outgoing student council, has since been meeting to scrutinize each applicant.

What the Vetting Entails
This is more than just an election; it is a thorough evaluation of character, academic standing, and discipline. The panel is assessing candidates based on several key criteria:
· Academic Consistency: Ensuring leaders can balance school work with their duties.
· Disciplinary Record: Candidates must possess a clean record, embodying the school’s code of conduct.
· Vision & Integrity: Through interviews and written proposals, students are being tested on their ideas for improving our campus and their commitment to serving their peers fairly.
Next Steps
Selected candidates will be notified by the end of this week and will proceed to the final stage of campaigns before the student body vote. We encourage all aspiring leaders to remain patient and cooperative. Whether you are shortlisted or not, the act of stepping forward has already marked you as a responsible member of our community.
We wish all the participants the best of luck as we work together to choose the face of Naalya’s future leadership.
