The stage is set for a unique electoral season at Naalya Secondary School, Bweyogerere, as the 2026 General Elections for student leaders draw near. In a special announcement this week, the Chairman of the School Electoral Commission officially declared three candidates unopposed for their respective high-profile cabinet positions.

According to the final vetting report, the following leaders will assume office without a contest:

· Ssebunya Cedric Conrad as the Cabinet Chief Whip
· Kebirungi Andrea as the Lower State Attorney
· Magezi Calvin as the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister

Hon. Magezi is no stranger to the corridors of student leadership. He previously served with distinction as the Cabinet Chief Whip (2025-2026) and as the Time Keeper in the cabinet of 2024-2025. His experience is expected to bring stability and legislative fluency to the Prime Minister’s office.

The Electoral Commission Chairman noted that while other positions will proceed to a full vote, the unopposed status of these three candidates speaks to their proven track records and the trust the student body has placed in them. They will be sworn in alongside the other elected leaders after the general polls.

"We congratulate Hon. Ssebunya, Hon. Kebirungi, and Hon. Magezi on their successful declaration. We urge them to prepare for immediate service, as the new cabinet will be expected to hit the ground running," the Chairman stated.

The rest of the student electorate is encouraged to prepare for voting day, as races for other ministerial and executive positions remain highly competitive.

The Electoral Commission reaffirms its commitment to a free, fair, and transparent process. Further updates on polling dates and candidate manifestos will be posted on the school notice board and this website.

Long live Naalya! The future of leadership is here.
