Naalya Secondary Schools, Bweyogerere Campus Holds Transformative Students’ Retreat on Character and Discipline
In a deliberate move to shape morally upright and focused young leaders, Naalya Secondary Schools, Bweyogerere Campus recently held a powerful students’ retreat centred on embracing the right character traits for a disciplined and bright future. Spearheaded by the school administration, the retreat placed spiritual and moral formation at the heart of the student experience.

The school priests took full charge of the sessions, offering heartfelt advice, one-on-one mentoring and reflective exercises that guided students through a journey of self-discovery. Through interactive talks, group discussions and moments of silent reflection, learners were challenged to examine their daily habits, relationships and attitudes, and to align them with values such as integrity, respect, responsibility and perseverance.

“Discipline is the bridge between dreams and achievement,” one of the priests emphasised during a keynote session. “The character you build today determines the height of your success tomorrow.”

Students actively participated, sharing personal challenges and committing to practical steps towards better conduct both in and out of class. The retreat also reinforced the school’s holistic approach to education — one that nurtures not just academic excellence but also the inner compass that guides every learner towards a purposeful life.

The administration expressed deep appreciation to the chaplaincy team for their dedication, and to the students for their openness. The campus looks forward to making such formative retreats a regular feature, ensuring that every Naalya student graduates not only with knowledge, but with the character to shine in an ever-changing world.
